Exploring the relationship between the artist's two cultures and both their views on homosexuality and in relation to that the prominence of homophobia, the artist sat down and tediously embroidered the Russian word for faggot onto a canvas with a digital print of a Russian carpet on it.
Playing with stereotypes the artist wore an adidas tracksuit that is usually connected to Russian gopniks; sat down in a field of sunflower seeds reminiscent of men and women who adore semichki; used a Russian stool as a table to put his utensils.
Another point is the exploration of slavic prisoners who were forced to do labour scattered throughout Germany - stitching a pink "OST" label on his jacket that remembers the labels forced labour workers from Eastern Europe had to wear. Pink in remembrance to the "rosa Winkel" homosexuals were forced to wear in concentration camps for identification.
